Field Hockey
First
Round: The MIT field hockey team opened up a two-goal lead
in the first half and withstood a furious, late rally to advance
past host Nichols College, 2-1. Kimberly Barker and Ekavali Mishra
found the scoring column and Keri Dixon had another spectacular
performance in net to help the Cardinal and Grey earn its 18th win

Second
Round: The Engineers dropped a 5-1 decision at the
hands of nationally-ranked no. four Tufts University, in the Second
Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Saturday, bringing to
an end the Engineers' record breaking 2009 campaign. (Recap)
Cross Country
New England
Reional Championship: Thanks to an
impressive performance, led by individual champion, Jacqui Wentz,
and third-place finisher, Maria Monks, the women's cross country
team took home a share of the Team Championship for the first time
in program history. The men's squad secured sixth place at
the Championship, four spots above its regional ranking coming
in and matching the program's best finish at the meet since

NCAA Division III
Championship: In its second straight appearance at the NCAA
Division III Championship, the MIT women's cross country team
improved to a fifth-place showing at Saturday's national meet,
hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College. Maria Monks and Jacqui Wentz led
the way for the Cardinal and Grey, as each earned All-America
honors, the first such accolades for the program since 1998. Monks'
13th-place finish marks the best individual effort at the NCAA

Women's Soccer
First
Round: Making its first ever appearance in the NCAA Division
III Championship, the MIT women's soccer team fell to Rowan
University, 3-0, in the Opening Round of the Tournament. (Recap)
