One of the newest members of the Department of Athletics, Recreation and Physical Education (DAPER) is Alyson Boehm. She joined the department in November of 2013 as the Administrative Assistant for Club Sports, Intramurals and Sports Camps. She will assist with the day-to-day operations of those areas as well as serve as the receptionist for the department.
Before coming to MIT, Boehm was a member of the staff at BodyScapes Fitness in Boston for nearly three years. She served in several roles with the company, moving up to Assistant General Manager in 2013. Boehm was responsible for the staffing of the customer service representatives, personal trainers, group fitness instructors, interns and vendors. She was also responsible for creating new marketing strategies and promotions for the company.
Boehm also served as a Recreation Coordinator at Merrimack College and has also served as a brand ambassador for several companies.
A 2010 graduate of Endicott College with a B.S. in sport management, Boehm was a four-year member of the women’s tennis team for the Gulls. She earned a masters degree in sport management with a certificate in athletic administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2013.
