For five years Jen Miller-McEachern has functioned as the Director of Varsity Equipment Operations for the Department of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation. She manages three full-time staff members and oversees all administrative aspects of the equipment department for thirty-three varsity sports to ensure they comply with all NCAA rules and policies. McEachern has created and implemented revenue-generating initiatives in support of the athletics department as well as maintained a rapport with various vendors and sponsors.
From 2004-09 Miller-McEachern was the also the Head Women’s Gymnastics Coach, handling all administrative and organizational aspects of the varsity program as well supervising spotting and choreography.
Before her employment at MIT she was president of the Massachusetts Girls Gymnastics Coaches Association Inc. based out of Duxbury, Massachusetts. She sustained the responsibilities of the non-profit organization in support of the Massachusetts High School Gymnastics Program for six years. Miller-McEachern has also held positions at Weymouth High School in Weymouth, Massachusetts and Duxbury High School in Duxbury, Massachusetts as Head Varsity Girls Gymnastics Coach, each for over three years.
Jen has served in leadership positions for the Eastern College Athletic Conference, National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches for Women, National College Gymnastics Association, and served on the DAPER Board. She is an active member of the National Association of Women Athletic Administrators and the Athletic Equipment Managers Association as a certified professional.
She received her Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts and is currently working on her Masters of Science in sports leadership from Northeastern University in Boston.
