Meredith Volker operates as the Physical Education Program Coordinator, monitoring the physical education General Institute Requirement that all MIT undergraduates must complete. She supervises the part-time instructors, coordinates courses, acts as the physical education registrar, and teaches swimming and stress management. Volker is in her second year as a Resident Advisor at the MIT Independent Living Group Fenway House.
Previously, Volker worked for two years at Newbury College as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Academic Affairs and for three years at Boston College as a Graduate Program Assistant in the School of Nursing. She was also an English teacher for two years at Select Language Solutions in Krakow, Poland.
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in History from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York and a Master of Arts in History from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
