Lisa Murray is in her sixth year as an athletic trainer at MIT. She received her B.S. in Athletic Training from West Chester University in Pennsylvania in 2002, and her M.S. in Applied Anatomy and Physiology from Boston University in 2005.
Murray's primary responsibilities include the care for the Engineers' baseball, women's lightweight crew, fencing, women's soccer, men's volleyball, and men's water polo teams. She is also a Deputy Title IX Coordinator, serving as a liaison for MIT's student-athletes to the Institute-wide initiative. Murray is an approved preceptor for Boston University's athletic training education program where she is responsible for supervising and mentoring athletic training students.
A member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Murray holds a licensure as an athletic trainer in the state of Massachusetts. Prior to joining the MIT staff, she was an athletic trainer at Swarthmore College and then was with Boston University for four years.
