Six Engineers Tabbed All-Academic by Mid-Atlantic Conference

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Six members of the MIT rifle squad were recently named to the All-Academic team by the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC). Rebecca Gould, Timothy Jenks, Nigel Kojimoto, Giulia Pantalone, Elizabeth Phillips and Lionel Sotomayor earned the distinction from the conference. Additionally, Gould captured a spot on the MAC All-Rookie team, after a tremendous campaign in her first year of collegiate shooting.

Kojimoto was the only repeat honoree, as the junior was tabbed for the All-Academic team in 2010. The six selections was a program high, surpassing Tech's four recipients from a year ago. The Engineers were tied with Akron for the conference lead, as the teams accounted for 12 of the 20 student-athletes named to the All-Academic team.
