Head Coach Matt Cohen, junior Hanna Vincent, sophomore Chloe Lepert, senior Kelden Pehr, and freshman David Larson

LONG BEACH, Calif. – In its return to the Rose Bowl Regatta following a four-year hiatus, the nationally-ranked No. 11 MIT coed sailing team captured 10th place out of 30 entries this past weekend. Stanford University won the event while conference foes Boston College and Roger Williams University ranked third and eighth, respectively.

The B Division tandem of junior Hanna Vincent (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and freshman David Larson (San Diego, Calif.) claimed eighth place on the strength of five top-10 finishes in eight rounds of action. The duo won the fourth rotation, was fifth in the first and sixth races, ranked sixth in the third outing, and closed the day with a 10th-place performance. Sophomore Chloe Lepert (Belmont, Calif.) and senior Kelden Pehr (Seabrook, Texas) powered the Engineers to 11th place in the A Division. After opening the regatta with back-to-back seventh-place finishes, the duo was the runner up in the fourth round and clinched 10th place in the finale.
