CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – As only the third MIT women's sailor to qualify for the ICSA/Laser Performance Women's Singlehanded National Championship, junior Robyn Lesh (Everson, Wash.) claimed 10th place this past weekend.

Area sailor returns to Bellingham Bay to compete for national championship
Robyn Lesh, who will be competing in this weekend's 2014 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association Singlehanded National Championship, will be sailing on Bellingham Bay, which was where she learned to sail.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a full weekend of competition, the No. 15 MIT coed sailing team captured 10th place at the Nickerson Trophy, while finishing 13th at the Schell Trophy.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT’s sailing team continued their momentum from a week ago with two strong performances this past weekend at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl and Hatch Brown Trophy. The Engineers finished fourth at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl and sixth at the Hatch Brown Trophy.

MIT Sailing Finishes Among Top Three In Three Regattas
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In its first full weekend of competition, the MIT sailing team recorded runner-up performances at the Toni Deutsch Regatta and Phillip Harman Cup, while placing third at the Penobscot Bay Open, sixth at the Harvard Invitational and 131th at the Harry Anderson Trophy.

Sailing Collects ICSA Academic Accolades
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT sailing team saw Iris Xu ’14 (Madison, Wis.) and seniors Laura Dunphy (Shelburne, Vt.) and Kayla Ngan (Sudbury, Mass.) receive academic accolades from the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) this week. Xu earned a spot on the All-Academic first team, becoming the first female sailor and fourth overall to be a repeat first-team pick. Dunphy and Ngan, meanwhile, were tabbed for their first awards from the association as they represented the Engineers on the all-conference team.
