Squash Posts Second Consecutive Win

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT squash team recorded its second win in a row by defeating Fordham University, 8-1. The Engineers now stand at 2-6 on the year.

Nikhil Khana, Adam Bushashia, Duncan Ma, Nadeem Mazen, Ashwin Deshpande, and Wesley Jin all posted three-game victories. Khana defeated Phil Bednarczyk, 9-4, 9-1, 9-6, while Bushashia won, 9-1, 9-0, 9-3. Ma only lost one point in his 9-1, 9-0, 9-0 win over Mike Brigoli. Mazen bested Mike Fee, 9-0, 9-3, 9-1, while Deshpande dominated Peter Zipf, 9-5, 9-0, 8-0. Jin defeated Tom Murphy, 9-2, 9-5, 9-0. Chris Buenrostro won the first two games against Ryan McFarland, 9-4, 9-2, before losing the third, 9-2. Buenrostro came back to take the match by the same margin. Nicholas Baksh dropped the first game of his match to Seema Ghaznanic, 9-2, but went on to win the next three, 9-7, 9-7, 9-4. Fordham's Sebastian Cahill registered the only win for his squad when he defeated David Baumgartner, 9-1, 9-0, 9-3.
