The achievement highlights players who have performed both on the field and in the classroom and this year marks the third consecutive year that MIT has had players tabbed for the honor. The first team status also meant a chance at being named to the Academic All-America team, though neither Engineer was named when that list was released last week.</description>

The New England tournament will be held at Whitehouse Field in Harwich, Massachusetts and will be hosted by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).</description>

      <description>CAMBRIDGE, Mass. &#x2013; Freshman Jonathan Rea delivered a bases loaded single in the bottom of the ninth to plate Sean Fannin and give the MIT baseball team a 2-1 victory over the WPI Engineers on Tuesday at Briggs Field. Rea singled twice, was hit by two pitches and scored a run in the afternoon in addition to his RBI.</description>
