CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For a third straight week a member of the MIT baseball team has been selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week. This week it was junior Henry Zhu (Overland Park, Kan.) picking up the honor for the Engineers.
Zhu was a solid contributor out of the bullpen for MIT last week, picking up a save and not allowing a run in two appearances. He started the week with a save against a powerful Wesleyan University lineup, allowing just two hits over the final two innings of a 4-3 MIT win. He then finished off the doubleheader sweep of WPI on Saturday by throwing the final four innings of the game two win, giving up three hits and striking out four. For the week he threw six innings without allowing a run, giving up five hits and striking out five.
