CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming on the heels of one of the most successful campaigns in Institute history, MIT placed 11th among all Division III schools in the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. This was the highest ranking for the Engineers in the 14-year history of the program and the first time they were the best performers in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT junior Brian Doyle has been named to the 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 1 Team by the College Sports Information Directors Association of America (CoSIDA). CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In the final game of the 2010 season for both squads, the MIT baseball team beat out visiting Suffolk University, 6-3, Sunday on Briggs Field. Having won 6 of their final 7 games, the Engineers rebounded from a late-season slump to salvage a winning record, finishing 17-16 on the year, while the Rams wrap their season at 21-16. READ MORE
