Thomas Phillips Named NEWMAC Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Thomas Phillips was named NEWMAC Player of the Week after enjoying a monster seven-day stretch at the plate. In five games, Phillips was 14-for-18 with five homeruns, eight runs scored, and 12 RBI.

In a doubleheader against the University of Chicago, Phillips finished 6-for-6 with three homeruns and seven runs batted in. In a doubleheader against Wheaton, he closed 7-for-8 with four RBI.

For the week, Phillips batted a remarkable .778 and posted an on-base percentage of .810.
