CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT men's basketball team will host this weekend's New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championship on Saturday and Sunday, February 25-26 at Rockwell Cage. The Engineers earned the top seed and the right to host the conference tournament thanks to their 11-1 record in league play. Tech is currently 23-1 overall and ranked No. 4 in the nation in the latest D3Hoops Top 25.
The tournament semifinals will be played on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. with the NEWMAC championship game to follow on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
MIT will face Babson College, who defeated Wheaton, 62-58, in the opening round of the tournament, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. No. 2 WPI and No. 3 Springfield College will square off in the second semifinal. Live stats and streaming video will be available for all three games to be played at Rockwell Cage this weekend.

The MIT Department of Student Life and MIT Dining Services will also be handing out free hot dogs and soda to the fans in attendance before and at halftime of the MIT game on Saturday.
