Boston, Mass. (January 30) -- MIT sophomore guard Bradley Jomard (Paris, France) has been named as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in a pair of games last week.
Returning to the lineup, Jomard made his return count as he racked up a 15-point, 17-rebound 10-assist triple-double in a road win at Wheaton. Just the second triple-double in MIT history, Jomard nearly averaged a double-double as he posted 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per congest while shooting 52.6 percent from three and adding six assists and one steal per game. Of his 19 total rebounds, 17 came on the defensive end as he averages just over seven defensive boards per contest this season.
MIT is back in action on Wednesday, February 1st as the Engineers travel to Springfield College for a 7 p.m. start.
