    Led by a 26-point, nine-assist outing from junior Bradley Jomard (Paris, France), the No. 22 ranked MIT men’s basketball team powered to an 88-68 home win over UMass Dartmouth on Monday night. The Engineers used stingy defensive pressure and 65.4 percent shooting in the second half to open up a lead after the teams were tied at the break.

    Led by a tremendous defensive effort in the second half, the MIT men’s basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing 80-50 home win over Eastern Narazene on Saturday afternoon at Rockwell Cage. The Engineers opened the second half on a 20-0 run to surge into the lead after trailing by a narrow 36-35 margin at the break.
  • Forsythe Nets 29 as Men's Basketball Earns 91-52 Win in Opener

    Led by four players in double figures and 14 three-pointers, the MIT men’s basketball team opened the 2017-18 season with a 91-52 win over Bridgewater State on Wednesday night. This marks the third straight year that MIT has opened the regular season vs. the Bears, with the Engineers winning each of those three meetings and now holding a 4-3 advantage in the all-time series.
  • Men's Basketball Drops 73-64 Exhibition Final to Division I Harvard

    In an exhibition game on Friday night at the newly-renovated Lavietes Paviliion, the MIT men’s basketball team dropped a narrow 73-64 final to Division I Harvard University. The game improves Harvard to 1-0 overall, while counting as an exhibition for the Engineers.

    The MIT men’s basketball team, coming off the program’s fifth New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship a year ago, have been chosen as the favorites in this year’s NEWMAC Preseason Coaches Poll with six first-place votes. The Engineers, who are receiving votes in the D3Hoops.com Preseason National Poll, are again under the direction of 23rd-year head coach Larry Anderson.
  • Four Freshmen Join Men's Basketball For the 2017-18 Season

(October 12) – The MIT men’s basketball team, coming off a berth in the NCAA Tournament and a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference Tournament title, welcome four newcomers to the roster for the 2017-18 season. Hamilton Forsythe (Weston, Conn.), Ian Hinkley (Raleigh, N.C.), Robbie Lindland (Chicago, Ill.) and William Little (Cockeysville, Md.) all join the roster for head coach Larry Anderson, who enters his 23rd season at the helm for the Engineers.

    Cambridge, Mass. (July 24) -- The MIT men’s basketball program will be holding The Basketball Academy at MIT on August 12-13 in Rockwell Cage. Participants will be exposed to various drills and competitive games and will have the opportunity to learn from MIT coaches and players.
