
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. After a record-setting campaign, in which they established a new Institute standard with 22 wins, the MIT mens basketball team continued to accumulate individual awards this week, as Noel Hollingsworth and Mitchell Kates were honored for their outstanding seasons. Hollingsworth was named to the All-Region First Team by both D3Hoops.com and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) while Kates was the D3Hoops Northeast Rookie of the Year. READ MORE

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference recently announced the 2009-10 NEWMAC Winter Academic All-Conference Team. Twenty-five MIT athletes were recognized by the conference for their performance in the classroom. READ MORE

WAYNE, N.J. Will Tashman poured in a career-high, 21 points to go along with nine rebounds but it was not enough to propel No. 21 ranked MIT into the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament, as the Engineers dropped a hard-fought, overtime decision to DeSales University, 72-64. Noel Hollingsworth added 18 points for the Cardinal and Gray, making its second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
