Hot Shooting Leads No. 12 MIT Past Babson, 67-49
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 12 ranked MIT men’s basketball squad used a terrific shooting performance, knocking down 59.5% of its shots from the field, to overcome visiting Babson College, 67-49, in New England Women’s and Men’s Conference (NEWMAC) action on Wednesday night. The Engineers made 7-of-10 shots in the second half, including all four from beyond the arc, to improve to 19-2, including 7-1 in NEWMAC play. Hollingsworth Named NEWMAC Player of the Week
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the fourth time this season, MIT sophomore Noel Hollingsworth has been named the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Hollingsworth helped MIT pick up a pair of road victories last week, as the No. 12 Engineers improved to 17-2 and 6-1 in conference play. Hollingsworth averaged 23.0 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting over 73% from the field in wins over Coast Guard and WPI. READ MORE

Men's Basketball Sweeps Season Series with WPI
Worcester, Mass. – Noel Hollingsworth led all players with 21 points to pace nationally-ranked MIT to a hard-fought 74-66 victory over host WPI in a NEWMAC men's basketball contest on Saturday afternoon. With the result, MIT boosts its record to 18-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play. WPI is now 14-5 on the season and 3-4 in NEWMAC action. READ MORE
