Lucas Goodman Invited to USRowing Pre-Elite Camp

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT heavyweight oarsman Lucas Goodman is one of 14 collegiate rowers to be invited to the 2010 USRowing Men's Pre-Elite Camp to be held in Oklahoma City, Okla. this summer. Sponsored by the sport's national governing body, the USRowing pre-elite is focused on developing athletes for the United States Under-23 and Senior National Teams.

Goodman has been a stalwart on Tech's varsity boat for the past two seasons. He was team captain this year and was reelected as co-captain for his upcoming senior campaign. A native of Seattle, Wash., Goodman rowed at Green Lake during his high school career.

Should he earn a spot on the national team, he will join a long list of MIT rowers to have competed at the international level. Most recently, Skip Dise '03 captured a silver medal at the 2009 World Championship in the men's lightweight eight.
