CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming on the heels of one of the most successful campaigns in Institute history, MIT placed 11th among all Division III schools in the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. This was the highest ranking for the Engineers in the 14-year history of the program and the first time they were the best performers in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — MIT announced today the 2010 schedules for the 14 varsity sports that will compete during the fall season. Five Tech teams will begin their defense of conference titles this fall, including the reigning New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) champions in men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, women’s soccer and men’s tennis. Schedules were also released for MIT’s four varsity crew programs, as well as the football, men’s soccer, women’s tennis, women’s volleyball and water polo teams. READ MORE

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT heavyweight oarsman Lucas Goodman is one of 14 collegiate rowers to be invited to the 2010 USRowing Men’s Pre-Elite Camp to be held in Oklahoma City, Okla. this summer. Sponsored by the sport’s national governing body, the USRowing pre-elite is focused on developing athletes for the United States Under-23 and Senior National Teams. READ MORE
