Coming on the heels of one of the most successful campaigns in Institute history, MIT placed 11th among all Division III schools in the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual Learfield Sports Directors Cup. This was the highest ranking for the Engineers in the 14-year history of the program and the first time they were the best performers in the New England Womens and Mens Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). CAMBRIDGE, Mass. MIT announced today the 2010 schedules for the 14 varsity sports that will compete during the fall season. Five Tech teams will begin their defense of conference titles this fall, including the reigning New England Womens and Mens Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) champions in mens and womens cross country, field hockey, womens soccer and mens tennis.
