The Engineers turned in a strong performance, finishing fourth in their opening heat of the Men's Collegiate Varsity American Specialty Health Cup before finishing fifth in the petite race on Sunday.

    MIT Crew Completes Florida Training Trip CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - On Wednesday, January 11, MIT Crew departed Cocoa Beach, Fla. after an intensive, ten-day training trip. All four MIT Crew squads: open and lightweight women and heavyweight and lightweight men, met in Florida just after the New Year to row on the Banana River and Sykes Creek, gaining considerable improvements in technique and fitness. Practicing twice daily on the water, all four MIT Crew squads logged valuable miles with an eye on successful spring racing.

Resch, ’61 Freshman Lightweight Coach it was announced today. Forrester takes over for Jeff Iqbal who, having completed a masters degree in aeronautics and astronautics at MIT while serving as assistant coach during the 2010-11 season, has moved on to Seattle to begin a career with Boeing.
