  • Men’s Lightweight Races for Geiger Cup
    April 24, 2017
    Competing against Cornell, which claimed the 2014 and 2015 national championships, and reigning national champion Columbia, the MIT men’s heavyweight crew team finished third in each of its races at the Geiger Cup on Saturday.
  • Men’s Lightweight Crew Hosts Biglin Bowl

    The MIT men’s lightweight crew team hosted Harvard and Dartmouth in the Biglin Bowl on Saturday morning. The Engineers captured second place in the fours race and were third in the Varsity 8 and 2V8.
  • Men’s Lightweight Crew Competes at the Joy Cup

    In its return to the east coast, the MIT men’s lightweight crew team competed against Yale and Georgetown at the Joy Cup on Saturday. Both the Varsity 8 and the 2V8 finished third after completing the 2,000 meter course.
  • Men’s Lightweight Crew Shines at San Diego Crew Classic

    The MIT men’s lightweight crew team kicked off the spring season with a pair of strong performances at the San Diego Crew Classic this past weekend. The Engineers won the Secretary of the Navy Cup for the second year in a row after capturing second place in the petite final of the American Specialty Health Cal Cup.
  • Men’s Lightweight Crew Wraps Up Fall Season at Pairs Race and Dartmouth Green Monster

    In its final outing of the fall, the MIT men’s lightweight crew team split the weekend at the Pairs Race on Saturday and the Dartmouth Green Monster on Sunday. The Engineers’ top duo of juniors Lee Mount (New Canaan, Conn.) and Jeremy Stroming (Issaquah, Wash.) placed 13th in the Pairs Race while the Novice 8 captured 11th place at Dartmouth.
  • Men’s Lightweight Crew Has Solid Outing at Head of the Charles

    In the first of two events during the fall season, the MIT men’s lightweight crew team made its 2016 debut at the Head of the Charles on Sunday afternoon. Battling strong wind, the Lightweight 8+ placed 11th while the Lightweight 4+ was 13th.
