Jeff Forrester will be in his second season with the MIT rowing program in 2012-13.

Forrester came to the Engineers with a wealth of coaching and rowing experience. Most recently he worked at Riverside Boat Club in Cambridge as the Men's Sweep Coach. He has also coached Riverside's Sculling and High Performance Groups, preparing numerous athletes for national and international competition.

Forrester rowed for Rutgers from 1995-1999, earning a silver medal at the IRA regatta in his senior year. After college, he competed on the national and international levels, earning multiple gold medals at Elite Nationals, Canadian Henley, and the Head of the Charles. He represented the United States at the 2007 World Championships in Munich in the Lightweight 8, where he placed 5th.
