Trevor Chang Receives The Elliot Lilien Award

May 2, 2007

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Senior Trevor Chang was the 2007 recipient of The Elliot Lilien Award, which is named after the commissioner of the Northeast Fencing Conference (NFC). Given to the fencer who combines cheerfulness, good sportsmanship, and an excellent parry system, Chang is the second fencer to earn this accolade after Caroline Purcell was MIT's initial honoree in 2001.

Chang closed his career as a three-time NFC Male Fencer of the Year and the winner of the Georges L. Cointe Award, which is given to an individual who excels in high-level competition with excellence in sportsmanship.
