CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Junior linebacker Jake Laux (Dousman, Wis.) earned another post season honor when the New England Football Writers named him to the 2012 Division II/III All-New England team. He is the seventh MIT player to earn the honor and the first since 2009 when DeRon Brown was named to the team. Laux is one of seven players from the New England Football Conference selected for the honor.
Named a first team All-NEFC performer after the recently completed 2012 season, Laux turned in one of the best seasons by a linebacker in the league, leading the team and the NEFC with 121 tackles, just two short of tying the Institute record. He also had an interception in the final seconds of the upset win over Salve Regina on October 19 that earned him NEFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
