CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After throwing for a school record five touchdowns in MIT's win over Maine Maritime on Saturday, junior quarterback Peter Williams (Portland, Ore.) was named the New England Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week. It is the second time this season that Williams has been named to the honor.
In MIT's 56-36 win over Maine Maritime, Williams threw for a school record five touchdowns and also rushed for another score, giving him six TDs accounted for. His 264 yards passing came on 15 completions in only 18 attempts (.833) for a 17.6 yards/completion average. Williams also set two single-season MIT records against the Mariners, breaking the marks for passing yards and passing TDs in a season.
