CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming on the heels of one of the most successful campaigns in Institute history, MIT placed 11th among all Division III schools in the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. This was the highest ranking for the Engineers in the 14-year history of the program and the first time they were the best performers in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Kyle Gable pumped in four goals to lead the top-seeded Springfield College men's lacrosse team back to the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Tournament Championship after it defeated fourth-seeded MIT, 14-5, on Wednesday night on Stagg Field. With the win, the Pride improved to 11-5 on the year, while the Engineers saw their season end with a ledger of 8-7. Despite the loss, MIT registered its first winning campaign since 2001.
