CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Following a 2-0 week on the road for the MIT men's lacrosse team, junior goalie Garth Grove was selected the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week. He yielded eight goals while totaling 20 saves, a .714 save percentage, and a 4.00 goals against average.
Grove posted seven saves while facing 21 shots in an 11-5 win at Norwich University. He then stopped 13 of the 25 shots he faced in an 11-3 victory at Clark University.
The Engineers will continue league play on Wednesday, April 22 when they host Wheaton College under the lights on Senior Night. Both squads are currently tied for second place in the conference standings as the outcome will be a factor in hosting rights for next week's semifinal game of the Pilgrim Championship Tournament.
