CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - Kyle Teixeira's two goals and an assist led Rhode Island College to a 3-1 win over MIT in men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon. Neil Zimmerman tallied the lone goal for the Engineers (1-1-0) and the first of his career.
Teixeira put the Anchormen (1-2-0) on the board 12:42 into the game, when he blasted in a shot off a rebound. Exactly 16 minutes later, Teixeira set-up Julian Montoya for what proved to be the game-winning goal. In addition, Teixeira eclipsed RIC's school record for points in a career with 148.
