Ryan Sheffler Earns Academic All-America Accolades

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) announced that Ryan Sheffler was named to the 2005 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America First Team on Monday. Sheffler's selection marked the first time a MIT men's soccer player was chosen for the First Team. Earlier this month, he received NEWMAC All-Conference First-Team honors and NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team plaudits. Sheffler led the Engineers in scoring this season with 17 points on a team-high seven assists and five goals.
