CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Last weekend, MIT's men's swimming team hosted Tufts University, Wheaton College and Roger Williams University in the annual Charlie Batterman Relays. The Engineers rocked the waters of the Zesiger Center, winning all nine events. MIT's women fared equally as well, as the two teams combined for eighteen wins and twelve meet records.
While no official team scores were recorded, the meet provided an opportunity for swimmers to showcase their talents before the competitive season. MIT seniors Jeff Zhou and Luke Cummings had a stellar day, as each participated in five of the nine victories. Freshman Wyatt Ubellacker was the most stand-out rookie, as he contributed to four MIT victories.
The Engineers will compete in their first head-to-head match on Saturday, November 21, when they face Bowdoin College and Babson College on the road at Bowdoin.
