TerBush Selected for NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Ryan TerBush (Smithtown, N.Y.) of the MIT men's swimming and diving team has been awarded a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship the organization has announced. Worth $7,500, the postgraduate scholarships promote and encourage education by rewarding the NCAA's most accomplished student-athletes.

TerBush has earned four New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference honors during his career at MIT and has been a key contributor to the team winning the NEWMAC Championship all four years he has been a member of the squad. On the national level, he was a three-time All-American for the Engineers, earning his latest honor as a part of the 200 medley relay at the 2012 NCAA Championships where he helped MIT to a fourth-place finish in the final team standings.

In the classroom, TerBush has maintained a 4.9 grade point average while pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He has earned recognition by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a member of the Scholar All-America Team. A three-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team honoree, Ryan is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
