Indoor Track & Field Schedule Revealed
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT released the 2011-12 men's and women's indoor track and field schedules on Wednesday, highlights of which include four meets at the Shobrys and Aronson indoor track as well as the NCAA Division III championship, which will be hosted by Grinnell College this year. Both teams will open up at their home venue with a tri-meet against Bates College and Colby College on Saturday, January 14.
In addition to the opening tri-meet, Tech will also welcome traditional powers Moravian College and Williams College to Cambridge for a meet on February 4. MIT will also host a pair of Coed Invites on January 28 and February 11.
The Cardinal and Gray will also compete in a number of championship meets, beginning with the New England Division III championship the weekend of February 17-18. The men's meet will be hosted by Springfield College while Smith College will serve as the site for the women's competition. The All-New England championship will take place the following weekend at Boston University. The season will culminate for both teams at the NCAA Division III championship. The national meet will be held on March 9 and 10 at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
