Tech Competes in ECAC and IC4A Championships
BOSTON, Mass. - With the indoor season slowly coming to a close, the No. 10 MIT men's track and field team sent its student-athletes to two different meets, as it has done a number of times in the past few weeks.

Engineers Open ECAC Champs
BOSTON, Mass. – On the first day of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship on Friday, just a handful of members of the MIT men's indoor track and field team competed. The Championship will take place at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center through Saturday, March 8.

Engineers Compete at Tufts Last Chance Meet
SOMERVILLE, Mass. - As an added opportunity to improve on their NCAA qualifying marks, a small group of the No. 10 MIT men's indoor track and field team competed in the Tufts Last Chance Meet on Thursday afternoon.

Men's Indoor Track and Field Finishes in 16th at New England Champs
BOSTON, Mass. - Just two individuals and one relay competed for the No. 7 MIT men's indoor track and field team on the second day of the New England Championships. Tech wrapped up the weekend in 16th place out of the 37 entered in the meet with 13 points.

No. 7 MIT Men's Indoor Track & Field Completes Day One of NEICAAAs
BOSTON, Mass. - After the first day of competition at the New England Championships at Boston University on Friday, the No. 7 MIT men's indoor track and field team are tied for 10th with UMass Dartmouth and the University of Southern Maine with six points.

Cardinal and Gray Defend Title at New England Championships
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - On the second and final day of the New England Division III Championships, the No. 4 MIT men's track and field team won the title for the second year in a row, wrapping up the weekend in first out of 26 teams with 138 points. No. 7 Tufts University finished in second with 94 points and Williams College was third with 59.

MIT Outdoor Track & Field Picked to Repeat as NEWMAC Champions
BOSTON, Mass. – MIT’s men’s track and field team was the unanimous selection by the coaches to repeat as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) champion, as was announced on Friday. Tech, who has won 14 consecutive conference titles, earned all six first-place selections.

MIT Men's and Women's Track & Field Move up in National Rankings
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Already in its fourth week, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll that was released on Wednesday afternoon revealed that both the MIT men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams have moved up in the rankings. Tech’s men, who were ninth last week, are now fourth, while the women’s squad moved up from third to second.

No. 9 Men's Track and Field Runs Well at Gordon Kelly Invite
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - With some of its athletes at Boston University for the David Hemery Valentine's Invitational, another group of the No. 9 MIT men's indoor track and field team remained at home for the Gordon Kelly Invitational, which was hosted on Saturday afternoon. Three different Engineers walked away with wins at the end of the day.

Engineers Earn Multiple Personal Best Times at David Hemery Invite
BOSTON, Mass. - While some of its members competed in the Gordon Kelly Invitational at home, another group of the No. 9 MIT men's indoor track and field team traveled down the road to Boston University for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday. Almost every one of the Engineers earned either a season best or a personal best time in their races.

Tech Emerges from Stampede in First
SOMERVILLE, Mass. - With groups of runners going to three different locations for meets last weekend, the MIT men's indoor track and field team had a more relaxed weekend this time, traveling down the road to Tufts University for the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Saturday. Tech finished in first place with a score of 257, finishing over 100 points ahead of host Tufts in second with 117. Coast Guard was third with 85.50.

Engineers Host Art Farnham Invitational
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – While some of its athletes were on the road at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Invitational, another group of the #6 MIT men’s indoor track and field team remained at home for the Art Farnham Invitational, a meet that was renamed in honor of former head coach Art Farnham, who coached the Engineers from 1957 until 1973.

Men's Track and Field Fares Well at John Thomas Invitational
BOSTON, Mass. – With members of the MIT men’s indoor track and field team heading in many different directions, a group of Engineers traveled across the river to Boston University to the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Saturday. With no team scoring opportunities, the runners were competing for top performances and qualifying times for the various championships.

Track & Field Meet Renamed to Honor Former Head Coach Art Farnham
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT’s men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams will host the Art Farnham Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 12:00 p.m. The meet, which is being renamed to honor former cross country and track and field head coach Arthur “Art” E. Farnham, Jr., is the Engineers’ first home event of the season.

Cardinal and Gray Pick up First Place Finish at Bowdoin Quad Meet
BRUNSWICK, Maine - No. 6 MIT men's indoor track and field returned to Maine for the second weekend in a row, this time for the Bowdoin Quad Meet, which took place on Saturday afternoon. Tech ended the day in first place with 272.33 points, over 160 points ahead of host Bowdoin College with 111.83 points.

Tech Ranked Sixth in Nation in Preseason Poll
NEW ORLEANS, La. – In the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason poll that was released on Wednesday, the MIT men’s indoor track and field team was ranked sixth in the country. The highest the Engineers had ever been ranked before this was seventh, occurring in both 2010 and 2012. Tech was 16th in last year’s preseason ranking.

Tech Finishes in First at Bates Invitational
LEWISTON, Maine - After having last raced over a month ago, the MIT men's indoor track and field team continued its 2013-14 at the Bates Invitational on Saturday afternoon, finishing first with 194 points. Host Bates College was second with 100 and Colby College came in third with 67 points.

Bullock Competes in 3000m at Boston University Season Opener
BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Justin Bullock (Detroit, Mich.) was the lone representative of the MIT men's indoor track and field team at the Boston University Season Opener on Saturday morning. As he did last year, he competed in the 3000m, finishing just over a second slower than his MIT record-breaking time from last season.

MIT Track & Field Lands 22 on USTFCCCA All-Academic Team
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Ten men and 12 women on the MIT indoor and outdoor track and field teams were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the 2012-13 year, as announced late last month. The organization honored student-athletes for their combined efforts in the classroom and in competition.
