BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Justin Bullock (Detroit, Mich.) was the lone representative of the MIT men's indoor track and field team at the Boston University Season Opener on Saturday morning. As he did last year, he competed in the 3000m, finishing just over a second slower than his MIT record-breaking time from last season.
Bullock came in sixth place with his time of 8:22.20, leaving a gap of over 15 seconds between he and the seventh place finisher. His time of 8:20.69 last year broke a school record that had remained untouched since 2005.
Now that Tech has opened the season, the Engineers will have to wait exactly four weeks until their next meet. The Alumni Meet will take place at home on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 12:00 p.m. The quad meet between MIT, Bates, Colby and the University of Southern Maine will take place the following weekend at Bates.
