Men's 4x100 Earns NEWMAC Relay Team of the Week Honors

Boston, Mass. (April 18) -- The MIT men's 4x100 meter relay team of senior Danny Newman (St. Charles, Ill.), sophomore Michael Amoako (Teaneck, N.J.), freshman Kenneth Acquah (Tenafly, N.J.) and junior Tre Albritten (Plano, Texas) has been honored as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Relay Team of the Week for their performance in a dual meet with No. 22 Williams College.

In the 1.18-second victory, the Engineers from a few meters down entering the final leg as Albritten took the baton and quickly made up the deficit, en route to running a time of 43.11 seconds overall. This marks the first relay team weekly honor for the MIT men's squad this spring.

The Engineers are participating in a number of events this upcoming weekend, including hosting the Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday, April 22nd.
