Yermie Cohen Named ECAC Track Athlete of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Yermie Cohen has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Men’s Track Athlete of the Week after leading MIT to a first place finish in a five-way meet hosted by Bowdoin College last weekend.

Cohen came out strong in the mile run, narrowly outrunning Thompson Ogilvie of Bowdoin with a time of 4:18.16. He followed that up with a convincing win at 1000m, finishing in 2:31.67, nearly two seconds faster than his closest competitor amongst a very strong field of competitors.

MIT will host Williams and Coast Guard this weekend starting Saturday afternoon at 12:00 p.m.
