
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The nationally-ranked
No. 13 MIT men’s volleyball team extended its winning streak
to five following a 30-14, 30-10, 30-19 victory over Southern
Vermont College in a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association
(NECVA) New England Division match on Friday. The Engineers now
stand at 6-1 overall and 2-0 in league action.
David Thomas racked up 12 kills, a .526 hitting performance, five
aces, and four digs as Mike Demyttenaere chipped in seven kills,
four digs, and three aces. Matt Hohenberger amassed seven aces and
four kills in one set while Patrick Vatterott and Robin
Demyttenaere both chipped in six kills. Alex Becherer posted four
digs and two aces in one set as Troy Tamas registered four aces and
four digs. Caine Jette tallied 38 assists, four kills, and one
block while Jeremy Velazquez added four digs and a solo block.
