CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the first time this season David Thomas was named the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division Player of the Week. He was tabbed for MIT's third straight selection after compiling 49 kills, a .400 hitting percentage, 27 digs, 10 blocks, and four aces in a 3-1 week for the nationally-ranked No. 13 Engineers.
Thomas kicked things off with 15 kills, a .583 hitting performance, and three digs against Lesley University. He then posted 12 kills, a .611 hitting percentage, nine digs, three blocks, and two aces at Daniel Webster College. In a tri-match featuring Vassar College and New Jersey City University, Thomas notched 11 kills, a .350 hitting percentage, nine digs, and two blocks versus the host Brewers before registering 11 kills, six digs, five blocks, and two aces against the Gothic Knights.
