Engineers Fall to Nazareth and NYU
NEW YORK, N.Y. – In its final United Volleyball Conference (UVC) outing of the season, the MIT men’s volleyball team fell to nationally-ranked No. 7 Nazareth College (25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-16) and No. 9 NYU (25-27, 25-21, 27-25, 25-22) on Saturday. Following the losses, the Engineers’ record lowered to 15-11 on the year and 2-6 in conference action.

MIT Blanks Emmanuel, 3-0, on Senior Night
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In its final outing before spring break, the MIT men’s volleyball team defeated Emmanuel College, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22, on Wednesday night. Senior Alex Klein (San Diego, Calif.) compiled 12 kills, six digs, and four blocks for the Engineers (15-9) while senior Zach Whitermore (Whitehall, Pa.) paced the Saints (5-7) with 12 kills and eight digs.

Men's Volleyball Falls to Vassar and Lasell in Five Sets
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lasell College outlasted Vassar College (34-36, 25-21, 25-20, 25-16) and No. 13 MIT (25-17, 17-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-11) in a non-conference men’s volleyball tri-match on Saturday at MIT. Earlier in the day, Vassar battled MIT for a 31-29, 25-21, 21-25, 22-25, 19-17 United Volleyball Conference victory.

Engineers Sweep Elms, 3-0
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The nationally-ranked No. 13 MIT men’s volleyball team ended its five-match skid by defeating Elms College, 25-20, 25-14, 25-14, on Thursday night. Freshman Jack Serrino (Glencoe, Ill.) registered 10 kills, a .500 hitting performance, two aces, and two blocks for the Engineers (14-7). Freshman Blake Fry (Natick, Mass.) led the balanced attack for Elms (3-15) as he posted four kills and added a block.

No. 12 Dominican Rallies to Defeat No. 13 MIT in Five Sets
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Down two sets to one, No. 12 Dominican University came back to defeat No. 13 MIT, 25-18, 24-26, 21-25, 25-18, 15-9, in a non-conference men’s volleyball match on Tuesday night. Sophomore Jeremy Royko (Naperville, Ill.) powered the Stars (11-7) with 18 kills, a .471 hitting percentage, 17 digs, three blocks, and two aces. For the Engineers, sophomore Martin Krasuski (Aurora, Ill.) amassed 19 kills, a .500 hitting effort, 16 kills, and three blocks.

#2 Stevens Tops #11 Elmira and #13 MIT in UVC Men's Volleyball Tri-Match
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Nationally-ranked No. 2 Stevens Institute of Technology defeated No. 11 Elmira College (25-23, 23-25, 25-16, 25-16) and host No. 13 MIT (25-18, 25-20, 25-20) in a United Volleyball Conference (UVC) men’s volleyball tri-match on Saturday. Earlier in the day, Elmira swept MIT, 25-19, 25-23, 25-16.

No. 6 Springfield Battles No. 13 MIT Men’s Volleyball for a 3-1 Victory
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a non-conference men’s volleyball match on Tuesday night, No. 6 Springfield College battled No. 13 MIT for a 25-19, 23-25, 25-23, 25-15 victory. With the win, the Pride improved to 11-5 on the year while the Engineers’ record lowered to 13-4.

No. 11 Men's Volleyball Sweeps Lakeland and Falls to Dominican
RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The No. 11 MIT men’s volleyball team blanked Lakeland College, 25-22, 25-21, 25-23, but fell to host Dominican University, 25-11, 13-25, 25-17, 25-18, in a tri-match on Saturday afternoon. The Engineers’ performances against their first-time opponents moved their ledger to 13-3 for the season.

Engineers Defeat Benedictine, 3-1
LISLE, Ill. – Four players reached double-digits in kills as the MIT men’s volleyball team defeated first-year varsity program Benedictine University, 25-21, 25-18 21-25, 25-14, on Friday afternoon. The nationally-ranked No. 11 Engineers saw their record improve to 12-2 for the season after the win.

Tech Takes Down Endicott in Five-Set Thriller
BEVERLY, Mass. – The nationally-ranked No. 11 MIT men’s volleyball team defeated Endicott College, 25-23, 25-10, 23-25, 19-25, 15-7, in non-conference action on Wednesday night. With the win, the Engineers improved to 11-2 on the year.

No. 11 MIT Sweeps Mount Ida in Men's Volleyball
NEWTON, Mass. – Playing for the second night in a row, the MIT men’s volleyball team overpowered host Mount Ida College, 25-13, 25-13, 25-13, on Wednesday. With the win, the nationally-ranked No. 11 Engineers improved to 10-2 for the season.

Engineers Defeat Southern Vermont, 3-1
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 11 MIT men’s volleyball team battled Southern Vermont College for a 25-20, 25-21, 22-25, 25-21 non-conference victory on Tuesday night. Sophomore Martin Krasuski (Aurora, Ill.) tallied 12 digs, 10 kills, two aces, and two blocks for the Engineers (9-2) while freshman Stewart Ramirez (Los Angeles, Calif.) registered 13 kills and 12 digs for the Mountaineers (7-3).

No. 12 MIT Men’s Volleyball Splits at UVC Tri-Match
ERIE, Pa. – In a pair of United Volleyball Conference matches, the nationally-ranked No. 12 MIT men’s volleyball team defeated host Penn State-Behrend (25-18, 25-18, 23-25, 25-17) but fell to No. 3 SUNY New Paltz (25-15, 25-19, 25-15). Following Saturday’s action, the Engineers’ record moved to 8-2 on the year and 2-1 in conference play.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT men’s volleyball team blanked local rivals Newbury College (25-8, 25-9, 25-11) and Emerson College (25-18, 25-23, 25-15) in a home tri-match on Saturday. Earlier in the day, Emerson defeated Newbury, 25-22, 25-18, 25-20.

Engineers Battle Johnson & Wales for a 3-0 Win
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – In a hard-fought match, the No. 12 MIT men’s volleyball team emerged with a 25-22, 25-23, 25-22 victory over Johnson & Wales University on Thursday night. Senior Alex Klein (San Diego, Calif.) compiled 16 kills, a .419 hitting percentage, seven digs, and two blocks for the Engineers who improved to 5-1 on the year.

No. 12 MIT Falls to Harvard, 3-0
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In its annual battle with crosstown rival Harvard University, the nationally-ranked No. 12 MIT men’s volleyball team fell to the host Crimson, 25-12, 25-23, 25-13, on Tuesday night. Freshman Jack Serrino (Glencoe, Ill.) generated a team-high eight kills as the Engineers’ record dipped to 4-1 for the year.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT men’s volleyball team defeated local foes Regis College (25-10, 25-23, 25-17) and Wentworth Institute of Technology (25-23, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21) in a home tri-match on Saturday. Earlier in the day, Wentworth swept Regis, 25-13, 25-9, 25-19).

Men’s Volleyball Blanks Bard in UVC Opener
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The MIT men’s volleyball team kicked off United Volleyball Conference (UVC) play by sweeping Bard College, 25-16, 25-16, 25-15, on Thursday night. For the second match in a row, senior Alex Klein (San Diego, Calif.) led the way for the nationally-ranked No. 13 Engineers (2-0, 1-0 UVC) with a match-high 13 kills.

No. 12 MIT Defeats Emerson, 3-1, in Season Opener
BOSTON, Mass. – In the season opener for both squads, the nationally-ranked No. 12 MIT men’s volleyball team battled Emerson College for a 25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 25-18 victory on Friday night. Senior Alex Klein (San Diego, Calif.) paced the Engineers’ attack with 16 kills and had a .303 hitting performance to go along with three blocks.

Brendan Chang Receives Men’s Volleyball Preseason All-America Honors
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second year in a row, junior libero Brendan Chang (Laytonsville, Md.) represented the MIT men’s volleyball team on the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Division III Preaseason All-America Team. A first-team selection last season, he was voted to the second team for the upcoming campaign.

Men's Volleyball Receives UVC All-Academic Accolades
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The MIT men’s volleyball team tallied a league-high 10 All-Academic selections from the United Volleyball Conference as announced on Wednesday. The inaugural academic award saw the 12 teams in the conference generate 57 qualifiers who met the 3.30 GPA minimum on a 4.0 scale during the 2013-14 academic year.
