Ramon Partida enters his fifth season as an assistant coach for the MIT men's volleyball team. He joined the program in this capacity following his four-year career as a player for the Engineers during which he was a four-time MVP and two-time captain.
Partida received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering with a minor in biomedical engineering from MIT in 2003. He then went to obtain a medical degree at Harvard Medical School in 2008, and recently finished his residency in internal medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Partida is currently a research fellow at MIT focusing on cardiovascular devices research before starting his cardiology fellowship next year.
A native of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, Partida attended high school at Colegio Marista and played club volleyball at Torrimar.
