Ramon Partida is in his fifth season as an assistant coach for the men's volleyball team. He joined the team in this capacity after a career as a player at MIT. During those years, he was a four-time MVP and two-time captain for the Engineers.
Partida received a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering from MIT in 2003. He then went on to do clinical research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for a little over a year, before returning to school to pursue an M.D. at Harvard Medical School where he is currently a third-year student.
Partida grew up in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, where he attended high school at Colegio Marista and played club volleyball at Torrimar.
