CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - For the first time since 1991, the MIT men's volleyball team opened its season with three straight wins after defeating Elms College, 30-21, 30-17, 30-24, on Tuesday night. The Engineers have a 3-0 mark overall and in NECVA play.
Michelangelo Raimondi and Rob McAndrew each tallied three aces, as Raimondi totaled seven kills. McAndrew posted a match-high 13 kills while Matthew Ng led the way with 11 digs and Ryan Dean contributed seven. Bob Aspell paced the blocking corps with two solo and four assisted blocks as Jordan Wan dished out 31 assists.
