CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In a 30-11, 30-6, 30-10 victory over Southern Vermont College on Saturday, the MIT men's volleyball team set a new Institute standard for service aces in a match with 29. In addition, Praveen Pamidimukkala broke the individual record for aces in a match with nine while Ryan Dean tallied six aces which raised his career total to 112, eclipsing the program's previous mark of 110.
Michael Demyttenaere and Steve Ray each posted eight kills while Demyttenaere added two blocks. In one game, Philip Rogoz notched seven assists and six aces while Caine Jette closed out the match with 21 assists. Volkan Gurel bolstered the Engineers' (8-1, 5-0 NECVA) defense with two blocks as Randolph Li added three digs.
