CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Nationally-ranked No. 11 MIT fell to No. 14 Rivier College, 30-25, 28-30, 30-28, 30-28, in a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division match on Thursday. With the loss, the Engineers' ledger moved to 10-6 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
MIT registered 24 total blocks as Scott Pollom led the way with 12 to go along with six kills. Garrett Winther contributed seven blocks while Michel Demyttenaere added six. Malcolm Bean had a solid performance as he tallied 12 kills and a .524 hitting percentage in three games of action. Philip Rogoz recorded 39 assists, eight blocks, seven digs, and six kills while Praveen Pamidimukkala notched 16 kills, five blocks, and two aces. Matthew Ng and Ryan Dean rounded out the defense with six digs apiece.
