MIT Sweeps Daniel Webster

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A balanced a performance helped propel MIT to a 30-20, 30-20, 30-20 win over Daniel Webster College in a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England men’s volleyball match on Thursday night. The victory moved the Engineers’ record to 14-9 overall and 8-3 in conference play.
Michael Demyttenaere posted 13 kills, a .632 hitting percentage, five aces, and three blocks as Scott Pollom notched 10 kills, a .556 hitting performance, and five blocks. Garrett Winther totaled five kills and five blocks while Eric Reuland compiled seven kills, four blocks, and four digs. Troy Tamas recorded seven kills and four digs as Jeremy Velazquez registered seven digs and two aces. Eugene Jang bolstered the defense with seven digs while Tim Lee dished out 17 assists in one game. Caine Jette closed out the match with 18 assists to go along with four digs and two aces.
