CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Following a 30-21, 30-16, 30-22 victory over Mount Ida College on Thursday, the No. 11 MIT men's volleyball team finished the regular season with an overall record of 26-5 and a NECVA New England Division ledger of 11-0. The Engineers' win surpassed the previous mark of 25 which was set during their inaugural season in 1986. For the first time in the program's history, MIT recorded three consecutive 20-win seasons and went undefeated in conference play.

In a balanced scoring attack, Ryan Dean and Scott Pollom each registered nine kills as Pollom added four blocks. Praveen Pamidimukkala and Eric Reuland both earned two aces while Pamidimukkala paced the defense with 12 digs. Philip Rogoz and Caine Jette shared setting responsibilities, dishing out 20 and 13 assists, respectively. Matthew Ng rounded out the Engineers with eight digs.

MIT will resume action next week at the NECVA Tournament that will be hosted by Nazareth College. Last year the Engineers, seeded No. 13, advanced to the semifinals after defeating No. 4 Medaille College (35-37, 30-27, 30-24, 30-27) and No. 5 SUNY New Paltz (30-24, 30-24, 30-18). Despite falling to No. 8 Eastern Mennonite University (30-17, 30-25, 31-29), Tech's 2-1 record in the tournament marked its best showing in its six trips to post-season play.
