CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In its first match after a two-week hiatus, nationally-ranked No. 10 MIT fell to No. 15 Newbury College, 30-26, 21-30, 30-25, 30-26 on Thursday. The Engineers' record drops to 22-6 overall and 14-3 in NECVA New England competition.

Rob McAndrew paced Tech with 19 kills, three solo blocks and two assisted blocks. Praveen Pamidimukkala contributed 16 kills while Matthew Ng posted a team-high 15 digs. Ryan Dean tallied nine kills and 11 digs as Jordan Wan notched 49 assists and 10 digs.
