Men's Volleyball Falls to Vassar in NECVA Tournament

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Nationally-ranked No. 10 and sixth-seeded Vassar College defeated host MIT, 31-29, 30-26, 30-24, in the opening round of the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) Championship Tournament on Friday. The No. 11 seeded Engineers closed their campaign with a ledger of 25-12.
Scott Pollom led the way with 11 kills and a .500 hitting percentage to go along with two blocks. Malcolm Bean posted nine kills and three blocks as Michael Demyttenaere notched nine kills and two blocks. Garrett Winther tallied seven kills, six digs, and two aces while David Thomas contributed eight kills. Eric Reuland collected a team-high 12 digs as Tim Lee totaled 31 assists and eight digs. Eugene Jang bolstered MIT's defense with seven digs.
