CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following his first appearance at the Princeton Invitational, freshman Kale Rogers (Newberg, Ore.) claimed the Northern Division Rookie and Player of the Week Awards as announced by the Collegiate Water Polo Association earlier this week. In the four games nationally-ranked No. 7 MIT played this past weekend, Rogers totaled 19 goals, 13 of which came against nationally ranked Division I opponents. The Engineers left Princeton with a 2-2 record.
He scored six goals apiece in wins against George Washington (13-6) and Division III No.2 ranked Johns Hopkins (13-11), totaled five goals against No. 13 Princeton (14-8 L) and recorded two of MIT's four goals against No. 3 Cal (17-4 L).
The Cardinal and Gray will be on home territory for the next four games, starting on Friday, Sept. 14 when it plays Mercyhurst College at 6:00 p.m.
