David Andriole was named the interim head coach for the MIT
water polo team in September of 2014.
Andriole has been involved in water polo as a player and coach
for more than 30 years, and has played nationally and
internationally during that time. In 1995, he was a founding member
and player/coach of KAOS Water Polo based in Los Angeles. Most
recently, from 2011 until the summer of 2014, he was the head coach
of West Hollywood Aquatics Water Polo, and also coached at Westside
Aquatics in Palisades, California.
A graduate of Yale University where he earned his B.A. in
history in 1986, Andriole also earned his J.D. degree from
Northwestern University School of Law in 1989. While at Yale,
he was a varsity water polo player and swimmer, and has helped
train and coach its men's and women's club teams.
